Eliminating Inefficient Empty Backhauls

Running empty trucks on return trips wastes fuel and capacity. Collaborative shipping pools match return trips with nearby loads.

A major source of waste in shipping is the empty backhaul—when a truck returns empty after completing a delivery. This represents wasted fuel, driver hours, and fleet capacity.

To solve this, we created a collaborative logistics pool. Our software automatically matches empty return trips with nearby shippers who need to transport cargo in the opposite direction. By dynamic matching, carriers can maximize their capacity and load utility, while shippers benefit from lower rates on pre-routed return trips, eliminating backhaul waste completely.
